Shocked myself?!

Question: I was standing in the doorway of my brother's room talking to my dad and brother, the lightswitch on the edge of the doorway doesn't have a cover over it (yes, there needs to be one put on) and my index finger on my right hand I accidentally put in there.

My right hand is going numb and I feel lightheaded now, basically a bit dizzy. Feeling a little bit drowsy.

Going to the doctor isn't an option as of now, what I'm wondering is if there is anything I should be worried about this turning into or just lay down and wait for it to go away? Is there anything I can take or do to, well, not have my hand feel so numb?

if it only shocked your hand i wouldn't really worry if it made a path across your body i would worry, you could cause damage to the heart, but if you didn't you don't need to worry, you obviously got excited by the shock and your body releases adrenaline so you could be coming down off of the adrenaline rush raised the blood pressure and a few other things, i would just sit down relax and you should be fine, like i said if you only got shocked in the hand or pinky i wouldn't worry about it, any other symptoms presenting themselves, chest pain shortness of breath anything like that? if you do then i would call 911 or go the the ER right away

Lay down, so you don't fall down.

Tell someone to cover that with a cover plate, or duct tape so no one else gets shocked.
