It could be any number of things, from RSI to Carpal tunnel to Keinbocks. Make an appointment with your GP and in the mean time continue to rest it- avoid lifting, writing, typing, and bending it if that makes it hurt.
You could also immobilise it to remove some of the pressure on your wrist joint. There are elastic bandages and splints available at the chemist, but a GP is the only one who can diagnose and treat you (or refer you) effectively, so the sooner you seek treatment the sooner you will discover the origin, ways of making it stop hurting, and the less likely it wll be that you damage your wrist further.

could be a trapped nerve but i'm no doctor.
best go and see your GP

it could be the posture you use when at your computer its all about the ergonomics.Acupunture is a great way of relieving pain in isolated areas

Could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or repetitive strain injury.

Yeah hat happened to me when I went crazy on the punching bag with no gloves on, my wrist got messed up and it hurts when I bend it and when i lift something heavy with it. But I didn't go to my doctor and it seems to be getting better. If the pain really bothers you then go get it checked and wear a wrist brace.

Go to the docs, why are you asking for help here its full of allsorts of people.

Try and think what you have done recently to cause a wrist injury. It could be ligament, bone or nerve. The only way to find out for sure is for your GP to send you for an X Ray.

Could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or repetitive strain injury. do you use your keyboard a lot ? my mum had this because of using her keyboard through work. if it is carpal tunnel syndrome you may find the tips of your fingers go numb and you also get pain in your shoulder.

if you have a job where you use a keyboard all the time then speak to your HR department as they may pay for your diagnosis and treatment through occupational health.

Sounds like the early onset of arthritis.

Hi,

You need to see your GP because it sounds like it could be "Carpal Tunnell Syndrome" a posh name for a trapped or impinged nerve in the wrist area.
Search online for a test called "Phelans" test i believe which is a simple move which will give you a good idea if this is what the problem is.

Anti-inflammatories are good for this but a diagnosis really needs to be documented.

Good Luck x
