Most ppl are understanding cause they have had it too..like everyone said...write it down for them to read....I also recommend gargling with salt water...its disgusting, but can help...just dont swallow it..spit it out
Write down on a piece of paper your problem and show it to your teacher or whoever. I'm sure they'll understand.
use notecards...they wont mind. just make sure ur not fakin it :)
