Call the pharmacist and put him on speaker so that your fiance can hear! You CAN be contagious with or without a fever depending on what you have. My girls have had strep throat many times and that is contagious! Sometimes they had a fever and other times they didn't.
If your body is fighting a fever, it means that you are already infected with something, and can very well infect others.
Generally, you are contagious before you show symptoms.
It depends on the disease. A lot of diseases are contagious and don't have fever as a symptom.
