Reaction to Cortizone Injection?!

Question: Ok...there is NO nice way to ask this question lol. I've had a spot on my skin in the groin area & saw the doc about it today...he said it was a common irritation probably from an insect bite or something, anyway he gave me a cortizone shot directly in the spot on the skin (ouch).

Well that was this morning around 10am, around 7pm I started feeling some kinda sharp pain uummm....."downstairs" and now I have a constant dull pain. Not bad, but its irritating.

Could this be a reaction to cortizone?

its common for a cortizone shot what you need to do is place a hot rag on the spot that is hurting if it becomes bothersome call your doctor

Easiest thing to do (&smartest) is simply call the doctors office where you were treated...they will gladly speak with you & put your mind at ease...just ask the reception to connect you to the nurse '(state you were a patient just treated there), or ask to speak to the doctor...mention you are concerned that you may be having an adverse reaction to a cortisone injection the Dr gave you...they will be quick to get your call answered, even if the Dr calls you back.
As far as someone outr here giving you a diagnosis...not a good idea...don't rely on medical accuracy out here...you can also call your local pharmacist, speak directly to one by request, then mention your concern about having an adverse reaction to a cortisone injection the doctor gave you...be accurate when you got injection timeframe & detail info...they will advise more accurately then someone out here. Also, anytime you have medical curiosity, you may like going to www.WebMd.com & be enlightened with a whole world of medical info easy to understand & easy to move about the site finding all kinds of great info..Take care~ Hope you are feeling chipper soon!

It could be an irritation to the injection or there could be an infection please go back and see your doctor
