Just prescribed 150mg of Trazodone to sleep because ambien didnt work, can i tak!

Question: after reading all the horror storys of not being able to breath, swelling up, being dizzy, twitching and everything else...i am terrified to try and take this tonite.

i have the 150mg trazadone pills, they look like missing pieces from a game of tetris. can i break one in half and safely take 75mg? or should i start even lower?

i also take 1.5mg of klonopin at bedtime to try and sleep, will this interact with it?

i generally have no allergys to medicines, in the last week ive tried benedryl, unisom (doxylamine), ambien, ambien cr, and all the herbal combinations you could think of valerian, chamomile ect....

i would rather just play it as safe as possible, because my lack of sleep up to this point has made me pretty fragile and paranoid. what is the lowest dose i can take of the trazodone and still get good sleep?

actually i see now that the pill is sectioned into 3 50mg parts, each a triangle.

should i take 1?

Well I take 300 mg. at night and only sleep about 3 hours then i'm back up for the night. There is one thing you want to do is be in bed because when it hit you in about 20 mins. you better be there or you will be out like a light. Don't worry about the meds. I'v been on them for years. before I started takeing them I would be up for days at a time.
