Husband has pain in lower right abdomen...?!

Question: My 40 year old husband has been having pain in his lower right abdomen (he says just above his hip) that radiates down into his groin. This has been going on for about 5 days on and off. He says that he can feel the pain in his right testicle. There has been no pain or other problems urinating. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks for any help.

If it was below his hip I would say to consider appendicitis, if he still has he appendix. It could still possibly be that, but being 5 days most likely not, does he have any nausea, vomiting, fever accompanying the pain? It could possibly be a urinary tract, bladder or kidney infection, these things sometimes dont have the symptoms of pain when urinating in some people.
The best bet would be to take him to the doctors, as the pain hasnt subsided for 5 days, and could possibly be something serious, or it could be something minor!
Good Luck!

I wish I could help. I really don't know what that could be but what I do know is that he has got to see a doctor, maybe a cardiologist, ASAP. Radiating pain is never good.

do situps

could be an hernia

Could be his prostate, he needs to get it checked by a licensed physician, not a bunch of yahoo guessers.

wind/constipation.... OR

those are symptoms of appendicitis! if this erupts, the poison travels through your blood and IS toxic if untreated, not to mention excruciatingly painful! I'd head straight to hospital or the doctors.
If it is, they'll operate. It'll take maybe a couple of hours (probably more like 40min), and he'll be released by tomorrow night.
Good luck
