Does trazalone help with chronic pain and help with insomnia?!

Question: Trazadone is commonly used in patients with chronic pain syndromes, especially conditions such as fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome to control sleep. Additionally, chronic pain patients, due to the inability to maintain adequate sleep patterns do not adequately renew their neurotransmitters, and have increased problems with neurogenic pains, and depression. Trazadone can be beneficial in managing some of the facets of these conditions when combined with other therapies.

Hi, for insomnia try to drink 1 hour before bed 1 glass of worm water with 1 teaspoon of honey - it worked for me.

Trazodone is primarily used for the treatment of depression. It is sometimes prescribed as a sedative, and it also is used in combination with other drugs for the treatment of panic attacks, aggressive behavior, agoraphobia, and cocaine withdrawal.

I think it might help you with insomnia but, probably not pain. A close family friend of mine takes it to help her sleep. She really thinks it has been helpful in curing her insomnia & hasn't had any side effects. You should talk with your Dr. and see if this might be a good option in treating your sleeplessness or if there might be a better drug to help both symptoms.

You should also be aware that one of the bad side effects of this drug is decrease in libido for men. For women, it's supposed to enhance sexual drive. Now I'm not saying that you're having any sexual problems, but just so you know, in case, it'd be nice to know that info. I'm just sayin'
