I have a bad ear infection. Help ASAP it's 3am!?!

Question: I'm sitting up at 3am right now in really bad pain cause of an ear ache that seemed to go away around 11pm and now it has come back terribly. I have a warm cloth on my ear right now and it doesn't seem to work. I need to sleep, I have to go to school tomorrow pain or no pain, so please what is a quick way to make the pain ease up so I can sleep?

I obviously have no way of getting to any store right now.

I went to the doctor and he gave me some antibiotics and just told me I had an ear infection because my ear was very red. He gave nothing to ease the pain, so what do I do??

Please help as soon as possible.

Thanks ahead of time.

Do not put water or saline in your ear. Unlike your physician who can see your typanic membrane you don't know if you are dumping unsterile fluid into a perforated eardrum, possibly introducing new organisms.

Use tylenol or ibuprofen and heat.

In actuality the new recommendations are that even the infected ears don't need antibiotics, because it really doesn't change the course of the condition anyway. But go ahead and take them.

Ibuprofen will reduce the swelling, a hot pack next to it may soothe it a bit.
If you can find Echinacea - preferably in a cold form of drops / tincture this will naturally boost your own body's defense system. Make sure you eat 3+ items of fruit each day to maintain vitamins and minerals essential for your body to fight infections.
You need to increase your zinc levels to help with infections and cell repair. - have a look at this link to see where you can get enough from foods like Oysters, Wheat bran, Cocoa, and meat.

A lot of people get sick because their bodies have run out of the tools needed to repair them. - Healthy eating is not pushed by doctors because there is no profit for them - they get paid to treat people - so just manage symtoms - result - lots of ill people.

Use a commercial pain releaver - asprin, paracemtemol or Ibrufen. This will give temperary relief. Also mix up some warm water (test it on your wrist to make sure its about body temperature or you could be in for saome more pain) with ordinary salt. Use about 1 teaspoon for every cup of water you make. This is the basic make up of Saline (found in all good medical kits). Lastly you need to find a way to pour it into your ear. An old eye drop or turky baste will work good.
It'll be good if you can get someone to help with this. Tilt ur head so that ur sore ear is facing the roof. Pour in some solution making sure it does get into your ear. If you don't have the temperature right you'll know because your body will respond to the shock with Pain - nmore pain noooooooo!!!!
When you have the water in turn ur head over so that ear now faces the floor and wait for the water to drain out. Repeat this about 3 times.
This will clean out the ear of puss from the infection and any wax that's been helping keep the infection protected from the antibiotics (I'm assuming you were prescribed ear drops?) If it is safe to do so according to the prescriptions instructions then apply the antibiotic.
Cleaning your ear before applying the antibiotic from now on will help clear the infection up much faster. Just make sure to use this method to clean your ears when they get itchi inside rather than ur finger in the future
