What side? Do you have a fever? Things that I would think of are spleen (swollen) if you have an infection, a broken rib possible (nausea goes with that a lot I hear and many people don't realize they broke a rib), liver, or constipation or gas (sounds funny but happens a lot. your digestive tract is all over that area). I wouldnt guess though, if you have a fever and it the pain does not go away get it checked! Maybe an x ray?

you have been working out right and you are about 20 to 25 right and you dont eat well and you sit around a lot tell me if I am wrong it might be that you strained something let me know just rest and eat right for a while two days if it still hurts go to the doctor put a heating pad on it okay let me know please and get well buddy

It could be gallbladder attack. when I had mine I felt like I would feel better if I could belch or puke, but I couldn't. It took about 18 hrs to go away. It was right under the zyphoid process maybe 2".
No relief at all.
Good Luck
Hope it passes quickly.
