You will be in a brace for about 4 weeks in which time you MUST follow the directions of the surgeon to make sure that you allow it to heal. If you fail to follow the directions then you are risk of the surgery failing and having to do it all over again. Even if you feel great (chances are good after the first week) you must not do anything you are not supposed to. After about 4 weeks you will be doing physical therapy for 8-12 weeks to gain back the motion and strength.
Pain, alot of pain but ice and meds will help
