Tens machine electrode pads?!

Question: my pads are not sticking anymore and i have looked everywhere for replacements and i cant get any!i lost the leaflet that came with the machine so i cant get any from the company i cant even find any info on the company,so can i use some sort of gel to increase conductivity and would something like ky jelly be ok?im really in pain today and i need to use it.
