ear piercing can cause bacterial infection.if this happen ,do not wear any earrings until the infection resolved, do not pull, squeeze, rub your ear lob this will make the infection just worse. One main reason for Infections is ,not clean hands ,no clean earrings, so remember always wash your hands first and make sure your earrings are clean to,Bacteria are invisible and their are most the time the culprit when your ear lobs getting infected.
Use Hydrogen peroxide or Alcohol or if you prefer a alternative way to clean, use Chamomile tea, boil one cup and let it slightly cool off, before using.
If your Infection is not resolving in a week ,see a Doctor you
might need an Antibiotic ointment.
Do not wear any earrings until the Infection is completly gone.
Good Luck

Sarah, I know that your earlobe is infected but I can't tell you what to use to kill the infection. Maby a nice nurse will notice your question and help you out. Have you tried hydrogen peroxide?
