I think i have insomnia?!


Question: the other night i didnt sleep at all, i was just lying in bed then i hopped up because i was frustrated that i couldnt get to bed and now its 5 in the morning and i havent slept at all again. it annoys me because i kinda want to get some sleep and not waste time lying there.

this has been happening for nearly a week, what I've been doing is staying up all night then the next night i will sleep and in that cycle.

i dont sit on the computer all night either or anything like that and i dont think i have any other things that will keep me from sleeping, i just cant get to sleep when im lying there, i just think about stuff and cant get to sleep.

Stay away from caffeine. Try reading before sleep. Try a hot bath before sleep. Exercise a couple hours before sleep. Try an over-the-counter sleep-aid. If nothing works, see your doc for Ambien or something.

Kevin Rudd - insomnia is really hard to deal with...I know I've had to deal with it many times. It seems you can't sleep because YOUR MIND is too busy thinking to let you sleep.

i have insomnia too, and what helps me is to be on a sleep schedule. i try to go to bed at the same time every night. i also take an over the counter sleep aid (from wal-mart or rite aid) they are really low dose and just help you calm down before bed.

taking a hot shower or bath has always helped me, or watching a little t.v. to chill out.

Ive also started to exercise for like 10-15 min just to try and get rid of excess energy and its helped!
