How come it takes my like 2 hours to fall asleep every night?!


Question: I sleep around 10pm on weekdays, but it takes me til like 12 to actually fall asleep. And i wake up at 8am. I get plenty of exercise. im 13 and a girl. Why does this happen? Can someone tell me something to do to sleep better. faster?

with your age it could be very well hormonal changes which will keep you awake longer as you desire.
Do you experience already you menstrual Period if not you probably will soon. Similar Sleep Problems Women experience when their go through Menopause.
My advise before you go to bed, keep your room cool, take a warm shower if you prefer, or drink herbal tea e.g. chamomile,do not drink any Soda or other Beverages witch contain Caffeine.Limited you TV Viewing and Radio.
And learn to relax, you old enough to try Yoga.
Eventually you will be able to a sleep again sooner .
Be 13 a whole lot of things in your Body are changing and it will take some time for adjustment to grow to be a woman.

i use to have the problem but then i would just lay on my bed with nothing on and make myself very comfy and pretend i was asleep and after like 30mins of forcing your mind to believe you are sleeping, you actually fall asleep with out knowing it. i do it everynight and
it works great because in the morn. i feel better rested. hope this helps.

Sometimes our personalities create so much noise in our mind that we can not shut down like other people.

First and foremost, no caffeine like soda after 3 pm. Soda is actually not good for us...

If you drink caffeinated drinks, try stopping this and see what happens.

If not, you can go to the library (one of the best places ever) and get some books on relaxation and meditation.

I use meditation and prayer and am usually out in 15 minutes...or less. If I have to much going on then it takes me longer and I must concentrate on letting go...

I may even use white noises or a relaxation cd with gentle music without any vocals...
