oh that sucks being preggo and sick sucks!

i'd try the really strong cough drops those tend to work if you keep them in all the time. halls wont do the trick...

or throat spray....

hope that helps. maybe your doc will let you take some cough syrup? I know the nurses at the hosp. said it was okay to take while breastfeeding...

you can always call the maternity ward at your hospital they have a book that tells you what the risks are with taking certain meds while preggers...

hope that helps!

Have you tried a couple of Tylenol?

Go see him to be evaluated for Strep as this can be dangerous with pregnancy.

You'll recover on your own with just a some time. I know being sick is very uncomfortable, probably moreso being pregnant, but if you can stick this out until your body can fight it back then great.

I would urge medicine if you develop other symptoms such as fever, chills, fatigue, etc. Those could be harmful to your growing baby, but a sore throat can be dealt with cool/warm liquids, rest, and time.

Take care!

You should call your doctor and see if its okay to take the spray in the throat medicine to help sore throats. That stuff numbs your throat and gives you nice minty breath. Your breath will smell good and your throat will be painless. I am not sure if it is alright to use if you are pregnant though, so you want to check it out.

Drink lots and lots of water, and get lots of rest. :]

You might try drinking some warm tea, and also try honey and lemon together, to help sooth your throat. Gargling with salt water-for some reason--does help heal the mouth, throat areas of our bodies. Suck on those cough drops as long as you can with each one, and if it's OKay, take some Tylenol, a couple reg. dose-or one extra strength dose-get Dr. ok on that one. Try to get some sleep.
Take care.
