Possible spider bite?!
Question: I was bitten by something during the night, on my arm, its a bit
swollen & numb. The little bite mark looks like a " Y " does
anyone know what it could be & could it get worse.

Yes, it could be a spider bite. The little devils start movin around this time of year. Why they have to get in the bed is beyond me but they do, Usually the bite is small, round, sorta hard, red and itchy or warm and slightly sore to touch. If you have some cortisone cream or ointment put a little of that on for the itching and swelling. If not a dab of witch hazel or other astringent will help it feel better. Don't worry unless you live in a rundown old house with lots of cracks in the middle of Texas, that is brown recluse and black widow country.
Sounds to me like a radioactive spider.
If your from the states there are not too many spiders to worry about getting bitten from. The two main culprits are black widows and violin spiders (brown recluse). The black widow (from experience) does not attack the surface were bitten very much, it just made me sick and made every joint in my body suffer excruciating pain. The brown recluse however leaves a very nasty ifection spot and does need to be treated. It will actually start rotting your skin from the inside, making look like a bullet hole within a few days, if it gets worse in 24 hours, have it looked at.
Abigal, spider bites leaves a whole, which may or may not get bigger, depending on what kind of spider it was, i don't know what your bite could be.
take some baking soda and mix with a little water to make a paste and put over this bite aera, this will draw the poison out! Hope this helps!Good luck!
