Anyone got a cure for sinus problems?!

Question: Developed problems about 6 years ago after my daughter was born. At the minute my ears are popping too. I don't smoke, I've cut out cheese and am fed up completely with this. I live a healthy lifestyle, do yoga every day. Any good ideas much appreciated. Thanks

If you have had the problem chronically for 6 years it suggests it is an allergic rhinitis issue. See you GP to consider this diagnosis. In such a prolonged case the management would normally be nasal steroids. Nasonex is the most reliable in my view.

awhhhhhh

Myiofacial work and a Neti Pot.

Have you ever tried using a neti pot? Mine saved me!

take a long hot steamy shower, it will clear out your sinuses, or go to the gym and sit in the steam room or sauna

Clean your ears and And wash with water

try hanging your head over the edge of the bed, lye on your back and just hang your head over the bed. always works for me

do a sinus rinse. It may be a little weird at first but it really helps releive pressure. Meanwhile, consider the fact that you may have acid reflux. Drs finally realised that my sinus problems were directly related to acid reflux. They had me take Prilosec once a day and cut out caffeine. One week later, my problems were gone. But once I start drinking coffee again, they flare up.

i have the same problem.
my doctor recomended to by a vaporizer.
turn it on and lean over it a few times a day

hope it helps

Try a neti pot. Worked wonders for me. Here's a link so you can see it if you are wondering what on earth I'm talking about!

You can get them at walmart and walgreens as well
Good luck

I second the neti pot idea. It works wonders. I'd also try to eat more spicy stuff i you can. Cayenne pepper has been shown to reduce the severity of, and prevent, sinus infections. But, as a word of caution, I developed some sinus issues last year that included problems with my ears. It turned out, my body didn't like the birth control I was on. Once I got off birth control, I never had another ear issue. So, take a look at whether you're on any medications or if there's some kind of cleaning chemical your body doesn't like. Good luck.

Put boiling water in a bowl & put a towel over your head.
Breathe in the hot steam for a few minutes.

Central heating makes it worse so my doctor adviced me to put damp towels on my radiator in the bedroom.
It worked.

Go to the chemist or the doctor & get some tablets to clear your current sinus problem.

this works!

make a appointment to see the docter , ask him can he give you a recomendation for another doctor (in the hospidal) to 'drain' your senus sacks/bags!

it cosists of two little bags of fluid just above your eyes ! (it used to always hurt there before)

they just knock you out and put the hose up yer nose and suck the fluid out like a hoover to dust!

belive me it works

google it for more info!

well,i have rhinitis and take a nasal spray and anti histamines,so maybe you would consider that, also menthol crystals are a good natural way to decongest and take some painkillers for the pain, unfortunately there is no cure

I suffer terribly with mine. I've thought about getting them blasted, but have heard the pain can come back worse than before. I just try an ice cold face pack and try inhaling eucalyptus oil in a steaming bowl of boiled water...

try vick in hot water inhale through your nose.

go to a vitamin mineral store and ask for sinus vitamins and it will help, i have it too.

Maybe try in the cold months or when you get bad sinus infections. Try sleeping with whatever time u get. Good luck

oh wow. well this probably wont work or a six year problem, but taking a whiff of horseradish might help

I had the same persistent problem for approx 3 years, until my doctor put me on a steroid nasal spray for 3 months ,you would not believe the difference it has made,I have been free from discomfort now for more than 2 years, and take no medication at all now,Please go to your doctor and see what he says .
Hope you feel better soon, I know how you are feeling, it gets quite unbearable, and hinders all aspects of your life like work and social occasions.
