Hello,
You poor thing. I just feel your pain so much. My name is Jordan, I'm 21. I am a new member. I've just been diagnosed with IC and have had severe chronic pelvic pain for over a year now. It is every day, and I take strong narcotics like vicodin, percocet, and tramadol every day for my pain. None of these put a dent in my pain . No matter what time of the month, I always have been. I have been in that kind of pain where I don't know what to do because it won't go away and i have had many breakdowns, you're not alone.Have you been diagnosed with IC? I know birth control can help with the period cramping. Have you seen an OBGYN or a urologist for your pain? Or asked for stronger pain meds? I have realized that the best thing to do for your pain is to see as many doctors and specialists as you possibly can. Eventually someone will be able to help you. Anyway hope this helps! I can completely relate to your pain, so if you need to just vent, I'm here! good luck!

if you took the acetaminophen a few hours ago, than take some again. i always take 3 advil to get it to start working right away, and heat is really bad for your muscles so try putting ice on your pelvic area to stop them from being so inflammed.. also if you have midol take that instead of any advil and that should help the pain more than the advil..

good luck and hope you feel better!

go to your doctor and tell them of the pains you are having, your docor will then prescribe you a medication of some type or give you another way to get rid of the pains.

I am also one of those people who get in so much pain nothing works an can not walk when i have it.So i went to the doctor n he subscribed these tablets called ponston to me and they really work!
i also hear that being on the pill helps cramps and makes your period lighter aswell after all the pill is for other things other than sex.

Good Luck!

honey, try soaking in a warm bath it will relax your body and also slow down the bleeding. also , you need to get your parents to buy you some midol or pamprin its really good for cramps! good luck sweetie!

Take 2 motrins. They work the best. Trust me. I am 41 and have very painful first day periods too. Also get some ginseng and take it. It has progesterone properties in it and is the opposite hormone to estrogen which is the hormone which brings on your period and makes the flow heavy. Ginseng should slow down the bleeding and cramping and is known as a calmer and relaxer as well as Valerian and St. Johns Wort which are all herbs. I just got best answer for this question from someone else earlier today.

Having sex cures a lot of things.

Don't take acetaminophen, its dangerous at high dosages.

glad im not a woman :) sorry...

try yoga. I also get horrible cramps and yoga helps me. Sex also does help ( i am not saying to do it, it is just a fact.) You should ask your doctor about the pill if this happens every month. The pill helps with cramps. The pill also makes your period lighter and shorter. try taking a warm bath and masage the area you feel the cramps. I take two asprin
p.s. the heating pad never worked for me

You really should try and get on a birth control pill. I used to have the same problems with pain, but after starting the pill, I am pain-free! It's totally worth it. As far as immediate relief, I have heard that putting a hardback book (encyclopedia or dictionary maybe) on the area helps. It sounds strange, but my grandmother told me it works.
