My arm hurt around my bicep after working out, why did it hurt?!

Question: I was working out, and when I was done doing some curls, I decided to bench. After I was done with my first set, my biceps hurt, and it felt like my artery was pinched or something. So I stopped working out because I didn't want to do any serious damage. Please help me with my question, I want to feel safe the next time I work out.

Best thing I can guess is that the muscle may have worked a little to much. Muscles can begin to pull them selves into a know which is very painfull. If you can run your thumb along either side of where it hurts and it doesn't hurt that bad and only hurts in one spot, then I would say it is in a know. If that is the case work the know upward along the outer edges, slowly making your way into the center. Keep rubbing upward. This will work the knot out, but does hurt a lot the closer you get to the center. After you work on it for about 10 to 15 minutes, use some Flex all 454 or icy hot and it should feel better. If you really damaged and tore something, you should be able to tell the difference by the severe pain that comes with tearing a muscle or ligament.
