Is it possible to "throw out your back" and not even know it until the!

Question: I did some heavy lifting of boxes and different things and then my lower back started really bothering me the next day... It feels like mostly on my spine towards the left sign... It's a very acute pain. Typically, if I hurt something, I feel the pain right then and then it gets worse... With my back, I didn't feel it until the next day? I didn't know if that was possible or if it was possibly something else?

Unless you lift heavy boxes everyday, then the muscles are not used to lifting heavy boxes. Therefore you use muscles you probably have never used before and in a certain way to lift the heavy boxes. Like someone who has no training and then decides to run a Marathon, you feel no instant pain, but the following day OUCH! So as you used the muscles, not normally used, you are now feeling the pain. Best of Luck

Yes, it is possible, sometimes pain and soreness can kick in after a day or two.
