How night shifts can affect your health?!

Question: I just started new job, where I work night shifts. I ussualy have like 10 night shifts a month and I feel like my body is changing, my appetizer changed ( I'm hungry in the night too, ussualy when I sleep in the night I don't eat obviously, but If I'm awake in the night I'm hungry) and can't sleep very well over night when I'm off.
Does it affect your health seriously? or your body just have to use to stay awake in the night and sleep during the day.
I'm working day shifts too.

dude, sleep is important! sleeping helps your skin and hair regenerate! if you want baggy eyes and bad skin then your body will be less attractive and very slaggy! Please reconsider this, money is not worth losing your health! Losing sleep can also make you gain major weight because when your sleeping you food is still digesting and all the nutrients and vitamins are distributing throughout your body. And if you get injured the best thing to do is to sleep because your body can fight a virus better when you have shut eye! So if you care about your health get some sleep! 8 and a half hours is all a body needs to perform to highest capabilities!
-hope this helps

it can mess up you body clock , and that can lower your immue system , leading to illness , so ye it can effect your health

If you were just working the same shift every day you might get used to it, but research has shown that rotating shifts are much, much worse for your physical and emotional health than simply working the graveyard every night. Your body needs regularity, and it can't get that with a rotating shift.

it is going to change your body. in fact it is gong to put a lot of stress on your body over time because of all the different schedules. if you can't help it and you must have several different schedules (i would recommend that you try to get on only one) you should make sure that you are eating a variety of lots of fruits and veggies, make sure you are taking a multivitamin, and getting enough sleep. try to exercise the recommended amount as well. remember: sometimes the pay isn't worth it in the end!
