How can i strengthen my ankle?!


Question: Ok, so i have broken my ankle a lot, probly around 5 times? I recently got a cast off 2 months ago. Im playing lacrosse now and the second practice(2-28-08), my ankle started to hurt really bad.what can i do before/after practice to help lessen the pain or better, no pain at all? im having pain right beneath my ankle, but not on my ankle. its between my tendon and my ankle.

Moving your ankle as suggested above helps. Might I also suggest buying a balance/wobble board? You will probably get better results, and at the same time, strengthen your knees, and improve your balance.

i always used to sprain my ankle pretty regularly so i started moving my foot to spell the alphabet (moving with your ankle), and it helped me strengthen it and icing it.

hey what we do in soccer is sit or lay down and spell your name 2 times in the air with your foot not leg. do that every practice and you'll have the strongest ankle there
