Bad pain in hip area, PLEASE help!!?!
Question: I am having a really bad pain in my hip area it hurts to touch and to walk, its my left hip. When I walk or touch the area the pain shoots down my thigh into the back of my knee. What could this be? I do not want to go to the er if its nothing major, just would like some ideas of what it could be, cuz this sucks, I can't even lay on it, Have not been doing much activity and do not remember injuring it at all recently. Anyone that could help I would appreciate it!

This sounds a lot like a nerve injury and you should get to a doctor soon to prevent the injury from becoming permanent. You really need treatment if you want this to get any better. It could be a pinched sciatic nerve.
You probably strained it a day or two ago and did something today of minor consequence to cause it to act up...
If you are not overweight and or do not have any family history, try anti inflammatory meds...
If it is really bad...go see the doctor...you are worth it...
The ER is for sudden emergencies or injuries that get suddenly worse...If you can make your appointment at a clinic...
