My mother has a staff infection inher knee. What can be done to lesson her pain !

Take 2 Advil or Aleve every 4 hours to reduce swelling,
inflammation & fever.
Take Zinc 50 mg for healing
Vit C 2000mg every 2 hours to boost immune system.
Astragalus, echineacea & goldenseal root (not more than 5 days in a row) for immune system & fight off bacteria.
Is someone coming in to do surgery everyday...can you ask them?
Call MD & ask for pain meds!

The doctor should of prescribed pain meds...if the meds are not helping then let the doc know...he/she can prescribe something stronger or switch to a med that she'll respond to. No one should be in pain in this day and age.
