Broke my nose years ago, now i want to sue?!

Question: when i was in the 9th grade, over 7 years ago a person who is two years older than me punched me in my nose without me even doing anything to him, so it wasn't self defense on his part. Anyway after i was punched, yet when the doctors saw it they said nothing was wrong, yet my nose never looked the same. Three years after the incident, my nose looks really weird and now i feel very angry that i want to sue this guy for what he did. As bad as it looks i haven't got surgery and i don't want to have surgery in the future, i just want justice. I also know where that person lives. It's really bothered me because my parents allowed the guy to worry about by telling the cops that he the guy who punched will no to have to worry about paying for the injury. What do you think i should do?

You are probably out of luck. The statute of limitations for most assault cases are in the 2-4 year range. There may be different years for civil or criminal cases. You would have to go to your local court house and get the specific range of years for your area.

Move on, sorry but there are worse injustices than this in the world I know it must be irritating but if everyone plots revenge it only breeds hate which is negative. Be a gentleman and let it be its all character building stuff.

yes. you are past the SOL (statute of limitations) sorry...
