Lower back pain when I perform leg presses or squats?!

Question: First it goes without saying that i have to herniated disc in my lower back.

Recently when i attempt to perform squats or leg presses, I end up getting a feeling of a sharp pain in my lower back, even when I lower the weight, stretch, wear a lifting belt, maintain proper form and change angles. But the strange thing is I can pull off a dead lift without pain, I only have recently started feeling pain again, is there a good way that my back muscle can get strong, or a way I can do a squat without pain?

I'm wanting to say that your lower back is out of alignment or injured. You should probably get checked out by a doctor or chiropractor before you continue lifting. Other than that, I find that when my back is giving me issues doing my abs workout helps. It might not be the same for you, but that's what works for me.
