Back of leg pain?!


Question: i had a track meet today, and i noticed after my race i was having a lot of lower leg pain. it's right above my heel, and it hurts when i walk, point my toe, etc. i can still walk, but it is somewhat painful. any idea of what might have happened?

its defintely your achilles tendon. if you can walk then it should only be a strain. if it was torn you would not be able to walk. sorry people answering, you cant "sprain" a tendon. but you should go easy on the exercise, save yourself for your next track meet so you can compete.

Yeah that has happened to me befor. It will go away it is just a cramp.

It sounds like your achiles, i did the same a few months ago, mine wasn't snapped, which according to my doctor is worse, because if you snap your achilies you get an operation, and it takes a month or so to heal. But what i did takes 6+months, with little excercise. So see a doctor asap and i believe it will be your achiles, but i cant teel you if you have snapped it or not:(

yeah u deffinitely tore or sprained ur achilles tendon. just wrap it up and get on krutches for about a week and you should be better. thats what i did and i know exactly what your goin through.

stretch before and after running, drink Gatorade, and eat bananas.
