Painful knob on back if heel?!
Question: Well ever since this last summer a bony knob formed on the the part of my heel. Anyways i havn't thought much of it until lately this week when the left larger knob started to hurt every time i put pressure on it with my shoe or somthing. So at first it didn;t hurt that much and iwent like normal but i played soccer today and it was so bad i had to switch shoes with one of the other players with larger shoes so no pressure would be on the knob. Have you ever heard of this? what could it be its not a blister or sore or anything like that its just a hard knob on my ankle that painful but only on one ankle. pleez tell me what i should do... because i have to play a game tonight and i really want to wear my own shoes.

It could be a bone growth. Sometimes bones will develop little growths that grow abnormally. The only real solution is surgery. I"d suggest seeing a doctor.
