It doesn't make any sense to me either. Some have speculated that alcohol is legal and marijuana is not, because the US needs to stay aggressive and not get too laid back. I find alcohol to be much more dangerous than marijuana though. And people going to jail over marijuana is just ridiculous.
there is such a thing as medical marijuana. And it IS legally prescribed to people with certain medical problems
Well, marijuana is a very addicting drug that may feel good at the moment but in the long run can cause you many problems. Instead of trying to cover up depressing etc. or whatever you want to take it for try a psychiatrist and feel good about yourself without taking drugs.
I think it's stupid that it's outlawed as well... I have heard it's a gateway drug, so that is probably the main reason. That or a plot by Bush to destroy the world..=/
Marijuana is illegal because in the 1930's people started noticing that it wasn't JUST the black people in the United States that were using it, the good white people were also using it. The Christian right didn't like it, and marijuana was banned.
