Painfull sore in my lip?!

Question: i have a really bad sore in my lip that hurts when i eat and is causing suprisingly excruciating pain my grandfauther said a lil dab of salt or lemon actully helps but that's the last thing i want to do is there any other simple home remodies?

if you bit your lip this is normal , if you didnt then its genetics but its also perfectly normal and it is a canker sore, they have numbing gels to get you to not feel the sore and heeling gels to get it to heel up faster.
