I'm 14 and can never sleep and i don't want to take sleeping pills, any !

Question: You are on the right track by avoiding sleeping pills. I agree with the others about the need for exercise, but it should be done at least 4 hours before sleep, as it tends to amp you up for hours afterward. Establish a good routine before bedtime, and stick to it nightly and get into bed the same time every night. I recommend reading in bed to wind down, over TV. I also think a comfortable bed and nice linens make a difference. Sleep in the least constricting Pajamas you can. An hour before bed, I dim the lights and the sound a bit. I also take a shower or bath right before bed, with a Lavender candle burning, and the lights out. A relaxation enhancing tea is great, just make sure it does not have caffeine in it. And make sure you stop drinking caffeine by 4:00 PM.

Im the same age and used to have that problem, usually its from excess energy, i.e. if you sit in front of your computer all day ( all day as in a few hours ) your energy builds up, wheras if you go for a walk you may find it easier to get to sleep at night.
Also instead of going straight to sleep get a little tv in your room and just watch it in bed

take a long walk before bedtime. fresh air and exercise will help. have a hot bath, then have a sweet milky drink before bed

Just before I go, is there anything on ur mind keeping you awake? if there is write it all down to be dealt with in the morning

Hot shower before bed, exercise (like gym or a long walk), chamomile tea (yes it tastes yuck but it helps), deep breathing, reading a book, buy a crystal from a new age shop and close your eyes and meditate holding it, buy some natural sleep aid capsules (like valerian and passionflower) from chemist or health food shop, also rescue remedy sleep from chemist or health food shop. Natural remedies are non-addictive and have no side effects.
