the more u work, longer it takes for pain to relieve. for pulled muscles and pigments, u need plenty of rest. how fast it recovers depends on the person. Crutches can help u, in case of severe pull. If i it is just small pull, just stay off any leg stress activity, like running.

you dont need crutches

i am a high level soccer player and have pulled leg muscles many times. the best way the treat them r to rest and sometimes stretch. take a couple of days off from excersie adn just rest your leg. u should be fine after a couple days or a week depending on how bad it is

i hope this helped

Hi,

First off, do not sit around unless you just can't keep going!!! Too much inaction can leave you much worse off.

Take some med's for the pain and inflammation. Don't try and tough it out, less pain equals more walking!

I'd try; ibuprofen 400mg 3 times a day [max 1200mg/24hrs] or if it's really bad NOW, then (perhaps 400mg 4 times a day for first 48 years [max 1800mg/24hr for no more than 48hrs][)*PLUS* paracetamol (acetaminophen/Tylenol) 1000mg 4 times a day [max 4000mg/24hrs]

Ice is very good for pain with swelling. Wrap it in a towel and give it 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. Heat can also be very good. Take some dry beans and put them in a cloth bag and microwave them for a couple of minutes and they make a great hot-pack!

Get up and move as much as you can. Don't push it, but try not to rest TOO much as this encourages pulled muscles to TENSE up and cause WAY more pain.

It's the same for back injuries that are just muscles, get up and move!

Swimming is good also, and the soak afterwards in the hot tub (exercise it while in there) doesn't suck. either!

After a while, exercise! Go onto a physiotherapy website and look for leg exercises.

In no time, you'll be better!
