Im coming down with something! Help!?!

Question: Last Thursday I felt extremely exhausted. I could hardly walk, eat, had aches all over my body and felt as if I had rocks inside my eyes. I went to bed early and felt fine on Friday, but still had some aches around my body.

Yesterday I had body aches, upset stomach, was extremely tired. Today I have aches all over my body, am shivering like crazy even though I have layers of clothes on, have a headache, have a horrible stomachache (could not eat anything all day), have a runny nose and feel tired in general (even though I got around 13 hours of sleep last night)

Am I coming down with the flu? the cold? Something else?! What should I do? I don't have time for this, seeing as how I have exams this week (college student)! Help!!

Sounds like you've gotten a dose of genuine influenza. There is not much that you can do for this. It's a viral thing so antibiotics won't work at all on it.

Drink lot's of clear fluids, eat toast and scrambled eggs. Take ibuprofen (400mg 3 times a day) and paracetamol [acetaminophen] 1000mg 4 times a day) both of these will help with the muscle aches and the paracetamol will keep any fever in check.

It should only last a week or so and you'll be fine after that.

Make sure that you get a doctors note: go to the student health clinic, or your own familiy doctor. This will take care of any problems you have with not taking the exams or else doing poorly on them.

Keep warm and good luck! Poor you!

PS: If it doesn't go away or gets any worse, see a doctor!

Go to the doctor and I bet he'll give you some subsciptions cause what you got sounds pretty bad.

Sounds like the flu

It sounds like the flu to me. Your bodies resistance is down because you probably been staying up late studying for your exams. It is important with the flu to drink pleny of fluids , eat like soups nothing heavy and get plenty of rest. Hope you feel better.
