What are the heighth requirment to be considered a dwarf?!
Question: I am not asking to be rude, but my older sis, who is 4'9, told me that she was once considered a dwarf, and there is no record of dwarfism in my family even tho my mom was only 5'0. I am 5'2, BTW.

According to the Little People of America, dwarfism is "a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4 ft 10 in (147 cm) or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that."

Yeah...I'm tinier than your sister and I'm almost 19. I think dwarfism has some standards--less than three feet tall and certain physical features are very prominent. Your sister is fine--just a tad bit special like me!
I think dwarfism is defined as a genetic anomaly and thus would be confirmed by a DNA test. I don't think that there is a specific height that defines dwarfism.
Also, the range of heights for women that are considered normal are different than the range of heights for men.
To be considered a dwarf you need to be diagnosed with dwarfism. Just being short doesn't mean you have dwarfism. Maybe your sister meant to say that she was mistaken for a dwarf.
