Sprained wrist-- how to break?!

Question: i hurt my wrist a few days ago, and i got x rays and i was told it is a sprain. it is pretty painful, and could take a while to heal. i have heard that breaks are easier to heal than sprains, since a cast can fix up a broken wrist fairly quickly. I was wondering, is there any way to break my already sprained wrist so i can let the healing process go faster?
ps: yes i am aware it will hurt! no lectures please.

breaking you wrist will not make the problem better or make it heal faster. with a broken wrist, you might have to get surgery, and that is a whole other can or worms. if you break your wrist, i expect it will still be sprained, and will be both sprained and broken!
dont break your wrist, just ice the sprain asap, then use heat after a few days to promote healing.
heres the chemistry of it: when you get injured (or bitten by something, break a bone, etc) there are chemical reactions going on in your body. these reactions slow down in cold, and go faster with heat. so by icing an injury immediately, you are making it cold (obviously) and slowing the chemical reactions, and therefore not allowing the injury to get as bad as it would!
i know this was a long answer, but you need to know that stuff!

breaking your wrist will not make the sprain heal faster!

That's like saying, I have pneumonia, but I hear the flu is easier to recover from, so how do I get the flu?

Haha.

A sprain is damage to the ligaments, breaking the bone won't make a ligament heal faster. Two totally different injuries. Just listen to your doctor and rest it as much as possible, that will make it heal faster.
