Why can't I sleep...?!


Question: I know is kind of weird, but I can't sleep before 10:30 p.m. I have tried to go to sleep earlier but I can't and then on the morning I'm too sleepy that I don't want to wake up. Does anybody have a problem similar to mine?

I kind of have the opposite problem. I can't sleep past 7:30am. No matter how late I stay up, I just can't do it. I think our bodies just get so adapted to routine that they can't break the habit. I've heard that it takes 28 days to form a habit. If you really wanted to get to bed earlier, I would try doing it little by little (five minutes at a time) each night for 28 days and see if it sticks. :) Just a thought!

our body clock is different from others, we feel sleepy in the morning and wide awake at the evening. the answer to that according to my own experience is. try to stay awake the whole day if you feel sleepy do something and try not to sleep and for sure you will be tired and your body will need to rest. and also try not to think too much at night just relax yourself and drink some jasmine tea before bedtime.

Welcome to the club. There are tons of us out there all dealing with the same things. Not sleeping well at all regardless what you have tried in the past. I am taking medication for mine, it doesn't really do a whole lot but it helps calm me down at night so when the time comes that I can fall asleep its much easier,hope this helps. As for getting up in the morning, I struggle with that daily. We all feel your pain, wish there was something for all of us. I'm sick of feeling tired and blah all the time.

Yes, you have conditioned yourself to not sleeping before 10:30, and it's subconscious, so your not even aware or it. Try winding down your day a little earlier than usual, and then give yourself enough time when you go to bed to toss and turn for awhile, then go to sleep.

Recondition yourself by starting a new ritual, and start earlier. Another thing you might try is reading something REALLY boring, you'll find yourself drifting off. Also, if you have a tv in your room and it has a timer for shut-off, time it to shut off in one hour and then turn on somethinng totally boring and lay down and watch it. That will keep your mind off of whatever your thinking of that makes you stay awake. That's what I do, and it really works.

Unfortunately, in this day and time, as hectic as everything is now, sleeplessness is becoming a real problem.

hell yeaa!! exact same thing with me but dfrnt timing....ii cant sleep before like 12 nd in the morning i cant get up

i have the same problem..!
so when i go to bed i take this pill called benadrill? my mom said its not good to do, but doing it once, can help you get into a routine ya know? like go to sleep eairlier and wake up early, then you will be tired at like before 10...

understand? i tried it, but it failed for me, worked for my mom though.
so i guess give it a try.

I think that what is happening to you is because your biology clock...
I also think that if you keep triyng you could sleep before 10.30 ...
