I feel icky, what should i do?!

Question: this morning i had a sore throat/post nasal drip and head congestion. i took sudafed at about 4am. within about 20 minutes i had a horrible headache. i wasnt able to get comfortable, everything about me hurt, my neck, face, shoulders, back, shins, ankles. i slept a little, but i was sweating a lot and ended up with on blankets and a fan on high. i ended up getting up at 9:30am after being awake since 8. i never get up before 10:30 on the weekends. i just couldnt lay down because it hurt too much. i took asprin for the headache, showered, my mom gave me hot tea, i had cheerios and then layed on the couch for about an hour before taking tylenol multisymptom cold.
i went to my fiance's house, we went out to lunch but i wasnt really hungry. i started feeling really bad in the car about 3pm and couldnt keep my eyes open and had to put my head down.
got home about 3:45, laid down and fell asleep until almost 6, but couldnt get warm, even with 2 comforters. took more tylenol cold.

First off, no more aspirin. I reccomend Ibuprofen (unless you are allergic, or have stomach issues, ulcers, ect..)

Ibuprofen is a anti-pyretic (brings a fever down) and an anti-inflammatory (will help with muscle pain). You get two benefits in one.

I would take 800mg, three times a day. So every 8 hrs.

If you are feeling sinus pain and pressure, and have green goop coming out of your nose, you may have a sinus infection which could possibly require anti-biotics (visit to doctor). Without seeing you, it is hard to say.

I would rest, Ibuprofen, cool wash rags on your forehead, and sometimes under the arm pits, or around your groin helps. Drink PLENTY of fluids such as water, or gatorade.

If the symptoms persist througout this week with no improvement, call your doc.

uuummmm go see a doctor!

Go To The Doctor!!!!!!!! NOW!

Ooh, I'm sorry. =(

The best thing to do would be have someone take you to the doctor. Don't go by yourself. Definately shouldn't consider driving if you're this sick. Drink plenty of water/kool-aid (it does help) and try not to eat anything too heavy, hot, or cold. It sounds like you do have something that might be a bit beyond the common flu.

Take care. Hope you get well soon!

Yes, seeing a Dr. is a must. Try to have some chicken soup, 7up/Sprite and make sure to eat. Even though you don't feel like eating, your body needs the nutrients. Getting some sun is also helpful. Do things that make you feel good, because when you feel good, it takes your mind off of being sick and actually makes the recovery faster. Mostly common sense stuff.

Take Tylenol am to pm it works everytime

Lots of rest and fluids, fluids, fluids. Try alternating Tylenol and Advil...that seems to help me!

1) GO TO YOUR DOCTOR
2) try to loosen up... dress lightly... try to wear dress that aren't too fitting... a loose shirt and a loose skirt or short will do... for the moment don't wear undies and bra.... this will help your body to breathe
3) if you feel like vomitting.... then vomit... you might have eaten something that's causing you to feel icky... BUT DO NOT FORCE YOURSELF TO VOMIT
4) If you're hungry... eat only soda crackers and soup and water.... do not eat anything heavy... avoid coffee, softdrinks and liquor
5) stop drinking medicines at the moment.... not until you get checked-up by a doctor (the medicines that you have been taking might worsen your situation)
6) if you feel sleepy... then sleep.... but make sure that the room you are sleeping in is well-ventilated with fresh air (either air is coming from an airconditioning unit or from outside your house through a window)
7) if you feel very HOT... then damp a small towel with ICE-COLD water mixed with ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and damp it to your forehead, neck, underarm, in between your legs, and back of the knee (make sure to dry these parts immediately with another piece of small towel, but with a dry one)
8) if you feel very COLD... then damp a small towel with LUKE WARM water mixed with ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and damp it to your forehead, neck, underarm, in between your legs, and back of the knee (make sure to dry these parts immediately with another piece of small towel, but with a dry one)

Hun, I just went thru this garbage last week (still kinda have it today) and i can just bet you are working towards bronchitis... I think your best be is to stop taking all kinds of meds..and just go to the dr

1. go to the dr for an antibiotic
2. with lots of rest will go eventually go away.

I had it , my mom, and brother all had it.

i had a 106 temp, headache, headache..
i think i slept more this week, then I have in the past year...lol

If you were sweating was because you were breaking the fever. that is good....but if you are cold again - it's going back up

Do yourself a favor and just go to the DR, the faster you start taking meds, the better off you will be
