I Can't Sleep PLEASE ANSWER?!


Question: Ok, nothing works I end up falling asleep in the wee small hours and am always tired. I CANT SLEEP


I know i asked this question before but i just wanted to get a more wide range of opinions

and btw don't tell me to take any pills

When you go to bed at night and go to sleep your mind is keeping you awake. You have to turn off your internal dialogue
to do this. It is hard to learn how to do this but start by clearing your thoughts and try to think of nothing . That may sound crazy but it works for me. Since your mind is steady thinking about all kinds of things you stay awake. You don't need pills to sleep. Turn off your internal dialogue and have a good nights sleep.

doing reading b4 you go to sleep.
Sit in bed and read a book, do a cross word or soemthing along thoes lines. dont watch tv, exersize or play on the computer these things will stimulate your brain and keep you awake.
listen to a relaxing CD and you could learn meditation and deep breathing to help you fall asleep

try to do somthing strainious be for you try to go to bed and your body will be exausted

check up info on Sleep apnea and see if it sounds familiar.


also, reduce caffeine and similar stimulants toward the end of the day.

OK, hear are a few things I do when I can't sleep;
1. No caffeine after noon. that means no caffeinated sodas coffee or chocolates.
2. try laying down with your eyes closed and thinking about a nice place to relax in, like a beach or meadow or in the arms of someone you love.
3. exercise more.
4. cut down on the amount of sugar you eat.
5. For dinner have a light meal, like a salad or some fruit.
6. Play poke-Mon(it will put you too sleep I promise)
I used to have a lot of problems sleeping, was on pills, they didn't work. Then I changed my diet, found that even if I drink alittle caffeine in the morning I will have problems sleeping.

ok this is what you do
do you take naps throughout the day? if u do stop
set up a sort of bed time routine..
take a warm bath
read something
crochet try to stay away from tv movies or video games even computers or if u get to into books id steer away from that as well anything that will get ur mind working and thinking about alot. i crochet or draw or write in a journal! then try havin a fan on for the noise of it and lay in bed with ur eyes closed and think of things that dont matter like i always picture my cat playing n stuff. if anything important pops in ur head write it down and go back to bed if after like 30 mion (alot of people say 20 i dont think its enough) ur still awake get up and drink a glass of warm milk maybe do some more of ur journal or whatever u were doing for about 20 min and then try again. other then that all i can tell u to do is lay there with ur eyes close and hpoe for the best lol i suggest sleeping pills. u can get some good ones OTC now!
