it depends on how bad it is. did the fracture of the femur break the skin?? if so they will put on an external fixation. if it didn't they normally will but in plates and screws up through the fracture site. the tibia may or may not get worked on right away, depending on how bad the fracture is.

Well lets just say you wont be walking on that leg for atleast 5 months and it will be atleast 10 months before it is completely healed.
