Foot pain question?!
Question: sometimes i have severe pain that goes from the bottom joint of my big toe across to the second toe and through it like a knife. doctor said it was arthritis and gave me cortizone shots (5) now pain is back..what can i do for it barring shooting my toes off?

This pain that you have could be an indication of a particular type of arthritis called gout (an example only).
I would recommend getting another opinion, preferably with a rheumatologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the bones and joints such as arthritic type conditions such as gout) to see what they say as well.
