Can they diagnose a herniated disc with a x-ray?
However, it is not possible to diagnosis herniated disk by spinal x-ray alone. [So no, see below]
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...
You need to have a MRI to diagnose a disc problem, therefore see your Doc and start the process. Once they rule in or rule out the Disc problem then you can start effective treatment. At the moment they are just guessing what the cause of the back problem is. If it is a disc, it might be a tumor, infection, muscle problem, the longer you guess the more at risk you are putting your future health and mobility. Best of Luck

Go to a chiropractor.

You should go see a qualified medical professional. It sounds to me as if you keep re-injuring your back. Bite the bullet and have it treated now. Let it go and you may end up with worse problems down the road.

I have this problem. It is arthritis of the spine and a herniated disc. I was told the only help is water aerobics so I tried it and it works.
