Whats a way that will wake me up in the morning?!


Question: No alarm clock seems to work...I either hit snooze a million times or turn it off.....even if its across the room...I still go back to sleep. I can never get myself up early enough to take a shower to try and wake myself up that way. Any ideas on what i can do?

Get an alarm clock that has a cd player in it and set it to your favorite up beat song and dance to it, that's what I did until that alarm clock blew up.

If you have a tv in your room turn it on (if it isn't already) and start listening to the news.

Talk to yourself, nothing wakes me up quicker than having to think about things. Start a run down of your day and get you mind going.

Get a secondary alarm and position it on the other side of the room opposite of alarm 1 and have it go off about a minute from the other one. By the time you get snuggled in, the other will go off, or you'll stand there waiting for it to go off.

drink water before you go to bed.

I have three alarms on my cell phone across the room,
and one on a clock closer to me.

After that, my cats put their feet on my face until
I wake up and feed them if I try to sleep longer.

Other than that, you can try getting a person to wake you up
or setting even more alarms.

That sounds tough.

Alright, here's a trick (I'm just like you);

Set your alarm for about an hour or so later than when you usually wake up. Then, set your clock an hour later, and when you wake up, if you have the consciousness (which I think you should, since you can recall yourself "Turning the alarm clock off"), you should be in shock, thinking that your late. Then, you won't be fooled, but you'd get used to getting up at around the time your supposed to.

A fog horn like they use on ships. Seriously. I always hit the snooze billions of times and eventually my brother decided to use a fog horn to get me up. It was soooo loud. That got me up. It scared the hell out of me. You can get them at a hardware store in the boating department.
Or, go to bed sooner.

You have to get enough sleep in order to wake up normally.

I think you need to go to bed early enough to get at least 8 hours sleep, If you find you cannot get up nicely with 8 hours, then up it to 9 hours.. 10 hours, 11 hours... Anyway, you get the idea. If you are very busy and very active, you probably need quite a bit more sleep than you are getting. Go to bed the same time every night. On the weekends if you don't have to get up the next morning, you can stay up all night if you want.

But, believe me, if you are getting enough sleep, you will wake up. Judge for yourself after experimenting.

I have an alarm clock in my cellphone and that wakes me up every morning, i have that rite next to my pillow and when it wakes me up I immediately go downstarirs and eat food..having breakfats wakes me up..and then I have to wake my daughter up to get her ready to go to school.

get your husband/partner/significant other/ to bug/beg you for sex!
that will wake you up!

put the alarm clock on the other side of the room, on really really loud. have a bottle of water near you and when you wake up splash yourself with it. works for me!

another thing is (if possible) get a loft bed (a bed thats a top bunk with a desk underneath) that way, once youre out of bed, you can't get back in.

try setting you an alarm on the other side of the room after the other one and if that don't work sit a phone next to u and get someone to call until u get up and answer then walk to the bathroom and let them here u flush the toilet. my fiance and i live together and i still have to have my mom call me every morning so i have enough time to get up and get ready for work.and if we dont answer she shows up about 8 minutes later so that should work for ya if the other suggestions don't.

You just don't want to get up and you're probably staying up to late. I don't even use an alarm. I just think in my mind of the time I want to get up and I do. Lay a damp washcloth in a baggie next to yourself and wash your face off with it. when that first alarm goes off. I had a brother like that. My other brother used to stand him up, and if he went back to sleep, he would fall on his butt. Once you are old enough to work, you'll get up or else. Try harder. Good luck

wow i have the same exact problem...when im supposed to be waking up for school i cant. my mom comes in my room and wakes me up, then my alarm clock goes off. im always late for school. i go to bed too late.

what helps?
keep your blinds open and you'll unconsciously wake up gradually with the sunlight entering your room. this helps...try it.

also try getting enough sleep. and it sucks but u cant make up your loss of sleep by waking up way late on the weekend...just set some goals.

i dont know if your school gives u detention for being late (if you even are late to class) but my school does and it sucks...
