Do the neti pots really work for clearing out my sinuses?!

Question: my sinuses are so bad right now, i have a sinus infection, my eyes are bloodshot, i cant breathe out of one nostril, i just need some relief. my mom bought me a neilmed netti pot witht he medicine you put in it. do you know if these things really help?

It helped me when I had a sinus infection. I finally had to go to the doc to get antibiotics, but it did make me feel better and to have less snot. Some people get over a sinus infection without meds, but I never do. Maybe you can get over it without going to the doc, but don't let it go too long.
