Ouchie!!! please help!!!?!

Question: yesterday at around 10 am i was ripsticking and i fell on the gravel. my left elbow got pretty scraped and it bled but i didnt cry. i just put a bandaid on it and ignored it. later that day at around 4pm i was ripsticking again and i fell on the same elbow. the bandaid came mostly off and it hurt really badly. it was also bleeding alot worse. my dad but some gauze and medical tape around my elbow and smeared neosporin on it. i left it on for the rest of the day and today until around 30 minutes ago. now whenever i try to take it off, it hurts SOOO BADLY!!! it feels like the gauze is attached to my skin. even if i barely pull on it ill start screaming crying. how do i take it off without making it hurt so badly?

I know what this feels like, Ive had a smilier wound. You need to peel the gauze off EVEN IF IT HURTS!! It probably infected or close to it so you should prolly dab some peroxide on it gently. It will probably burn but it will help. Just squeeze your eyes shut and yank it off. Let some air get to it.

Well Sometime if something hurts and get stuck on me like a bandaid too I'll go really slow or take your time to take it off........and try to hold on to something or say something to you so you'll get over it... like say something lik this "I can do this, i can do this!"

Try wetting the bandage before try to take it off, it'll help your skin loosen too, and before you put a new one on, put ALOT of neosporin so it gets really greasy & won't stick!

simple my dear.....soak the gauze with saline , hydrogen peroxide or plain and simple water before taking the gauze out!!!!!

This might hurt a little bit but try running some warm water under it, don't remove your elbow from the water, and try to pull at it gently then. If this doesn't work then I suggest that you take a very small pair of scissors like a pair of your dad's mustache grooming scissors and try to cut some of the medical tape off, this should make it easier to remove.

Soak the gauze in peroxide. It may sting a little and fizz up but it will dissolve the dried blood holding the gauze on. (and will disinfect the cut). If you can, leave the band aid off at night to let air get at it. Try to keep Neosporin on it because if it dries out, every time you move it, it 's going to crack and bleed again. Good Luck!
