Chipped Shin Bone?!

Question: So 2 days ago I fell and hit my shin on a piece of metal. It swelled up instantly and later that night it went down a little but its still swollen and really bruised. Its hurts to walk sometimes and if anything touches it...even slightly(like a pant leg) It stings and hurts beyond belief..Any possibility i chipped a bone?

Chipping the shin bone is actually quite common, most people can run a finger along their shin and feel a lot of chipped places. If it were a larger break, you would really have a lot of trouble walking. Your problem seems to be more localized in the skin and muscle than the bone, but just to be sure, you should probably go to the doctor for an x-ray.

It could just be a bone bruise. You should have put ice on it asap. When the swilling goes down you might notice a depression in the area. Shins tend to get "dents" in them when you bang them really hard

Get it checked and x-rayed as soon as possible. If it hurts still this way after 2 days, it must be checked.
