Ear Pierce Back Hole problem.....?!

Question: hello all....

i got my ear pierced seven and a half weeks ago. on the 5th week i changed my earring to another stud different from the first one they gave me.

so i just decided for the sake of it to take my ear pierce for 2 or hours out. i know many would say this isnt right, but my ear
looks really good and healed, and i thought " hey!! its been 7 weeks! 2 hours wont hurt!! " so when i tried to put it back in, it went halfway, but didnt find the hole in the back where it's meant to come out from..

so this has happened to me many times, and i realised even after half an hour out it still happens..

some may say push from the back , then put it in, but i dont want to do that. i want to know how long before i can take it out for a few hours and put it in normally with no troubles.

thanks for your time, especially if you didnt fall asleep reading my question....

I had this problem when i got mine done and it took probably about 9months- year for them to be properly ok to be left. I would always keep earings in though as they close up so easily. I would just put a little vaseline on the earing and then it will go in easier.

I have had this happen to me and it's no fun. I would try stretching your earlobe and then try pushing, don't stop even if it hurts because it probably closed up a bit. Wash the studs with rubbing alcohol to reduce chance of infection.
If you don't feel like doing this, go back to the place you got the piercings and see if they have any ideas. Good luck!

It takes a minimum of 6 months before the hole is healed enough to take them out, sometimes up to a year, each person is different. I would avoid leaving them out for at least 6 months because even if it looks healed it isn't and you will be very prone to get it infected, which I am sure you don't want.
I have 8 earring holes, and some of the higher up ones never completely heal, so good luck.

have someone look to see if the hole is still there...a lot of times the hole is still there, you just can't find it...happens to me all the time. My ears didn't completely heal until a year after I got my ears peirced, so it could be that you're ear wasn't completely healed when you took it out and it closed the hole quickly.
