Hip and Pelvis problems! Need a good stretch please, Yoga moves welcome.?!

Question: Does anyone know the yoga move where you sit with frog legs (cobblers pose) but then you lay back on the floor? This causes me extreme pain and twitching in my right hip, under my butt cheek. Since this stretch causes more pain than it helps stretch the problem area, does anyone have a better stretch? I get sciatic pain in that area as well. I know there's something too tight in there, but the yoga move that addresses it is too painful. And the upright cobblers pose does not stretch the proper muscle. Links to websites with the stretch will work nice. Telling me to see my physician will not. I have an appointment booked already, I just want some real helpful advise please.

Thank you.

Hi, That pose sounds like Supta Baddha Konasana or Reclining bound angle pose.
Have you tried the restorative version using blankets or bolsters for support? These sites show how to use them properly.
