What is causing the knee pain on the inside of my knee?!

Question: I am 18 years and Ive had pain on the inside of my knee for almost a year. It's weird, because I might have periods where I am fine, and then it suddenly might start hurting again when if I for example walk slowly which makes it difficult to walk. The pain seem to get worse by running too much, but it also get kinda weird and cold (difficult to explain) if I don't use it. The pain is on the inner side of both of my knees, and it feels like someone is sticking a knife to it. The pain sometimes get better after walking/running slowly a bit, but it gets worse at the end. If I turn my foot inside I sometimes hear a pop. The knee joint at the inside of my knee feel very stiff. I've taken MRI, but it didn't show anything.

I've been thinking it might be plica syndrome, or maybe bone problems or maybe sings of early rheumatism since this is difficult to see on an MRI.

There's a long way to any experts, so I was hoping you had any ideas of what may causing this. 10 points for best answers.

You don't indicate your sex. Women tend to have more medial knee pains than men. That's because they have wider hips and so their knees are placed at a more acute angle towards the mid line. Your symptoms suggest a Pes Anserinus Bursitis (see link). This is a group of tendons that join and attach to your Tibia, just below the knee. Like any bursitis, it is related to overuse, poor biomechanics, or both. There are some exercises that may help (see link), as will anti-inflammatories and, perhaps, physical therapy. At its most severe, your doctor may administer a cortisome injection.

If your cartilage is pulled or strained you may be putting to much pressure on it...If you don't have fluid on it but I'm no doctor or anything i just know my knees do the same way i never have been to the doctor but i have no cartilage on mine you can literally feel bone rubbing bone so this may be you case.I don't know of any other way to tell other than an MRI unless the check to see if you have fluid where cartilage is suppose to be but then again i don't know what they can or can't tell in an MRI

I can't spell it but it might be aushlatis.
Awfull attempt at spelling lol, its a knee disease, my friend has it and i pulled him off a bench once and he hit his knee and cried, it can be painfull.

it could very well b ur anterior cruciate ligament. this ligament runs dwn tru ur thigh bone and tru ur knee. it provides nearly 90% of stability in ur knee. it helps 2 hold ur knee in place. the reason i tink its dis,is bcoz i have an anterior cruciate ligament problem. it gets realli painful and cracks alot and mine pops outta place alot 2. it can get realli hard 2 walk smetimes nd xtremely painful. im 14 nd loads of surgeons sed i hav 2 get a cruciate ligament reconstruction once i stop growing. if u lik sport, its realli important 2 get it sorted out as it can get worse and worse. im no doctor, but since i hav xperienced the same problems as u,i jus sed id let u no coz its kinda serious in the long run.
hope this helped u a bit,but u shoud mabye get a second opinion rather den listenin 2 1 doc. i hope it doesnt sound lik im intruding, coz im not...i jus wanna help!!!
gud luk wit it newayz...
