wrongly lifting heavy things on a regular basis

i blame global warming. only way to defeat this issue... punch it in the face with a happy dosage of fun

Sitting awkwardly for lengthly periods of time i.e. at work, on computer. Sleeping on a hard floor for a couple of nights sometimes helps...!

If you're having back pain, try hot/warm packs on your back along with taking it EASY... no heavy lifting, etc. If you're still in a great deal of pain after a while, you should DEFINITELY go to the chiropractor. I had back pain for a long time and always thought it was in my muscles... turns out my ribs were out of place! Going to the chiropractor worked wonders for me.

Try using a Tens machine.

Sometime stress. Tense muscles

It could just be muscular I find the best relief is to lie down and one at a time bring your knees up to your chest then down slowly, this stretches the back muscles and gives great relief. If it persists then see your gp

Depends on your age and activities of the past. Athletes get back pain, people who do physical labor get it, older persons get degenerative joint problems. I recently had problems (53 y.o.) and went to a chiropractor. X-rays revealed severe scoliosis and some hip degeneration. He gave me some stretching exercises and I feel a lot better. He recommended ice, but that made mine hurt worse, moist heat seems to help some, but the stretching has done the most good.

heating pad and a heat patch

I cannot add anything!!But say there is a lot of good advice here!!

Could be lifting heavy things in a wrong position, Standing for hours on end, or just plain hard work. Sometimes people have crooked parts in their body that will cause the pain. I either do a combo of ice and then heat 20min of each back and forth. I also have a invert machine that hangs you upside down to decompress the spine. If that doesn't work, I will just go to the chiropractor and have an adjustment. Just make sure if you do decide to go to a Chiropractor to make sure that they do physically adjust the back and not just put you on the massage pads.

poor posture
lifting any object wrong
bending wrong
twisting , turning your body badly
fast jerky movements

treatment varies

infection like lyme disease can cause back pain---I used far infrared sauna to eliminate the pain-
strangely I was talking to the woman in the health shop today abot this---I said I now wanted to sell my sauna because I no longer need it
